Programmer Analyst
Avis Budget Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Programmer Analyst to join our Pricing Automation & Analytics team. This position will contribute to the development, optimization, and maintenance of systems that support real-time, data-driven pricing and analytics across our North American operations. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our pricing infrastructure remains scalable, responsive, and aligned with strategic business goals. What You'll Do: Design, build, and maintain backend services and tools that support real-time data processing and pricing logic. Develop and optimize complex SQL queries across various relational database platforms, such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Redshift. Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and engineers to implement business-aligned solutions. Integrate new pricing features and enhancements based on stakeholder requirements. Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability through strong engineering practices. Reduce technical debt by writing maintainable, testable, and efficient code. System Reliability: Improve infrastructure stability and scalability through proactive development. Revenue Enablement: Provide technology that enables timely, competitive, and data-driven pricing decisions. Agility: Accelerate delivery of pricing updates and business-driven changes. Risk Mitigation: Minimize exposure to errors by developing clear, consistent, and well-documented logic. You Should Apply If You Bring: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other quantitative fieldor equivalent industry experience. Proficiency in Python, with a track record of delivering maintainable, production-quality code. Strong experience developing backend systems or data-driven services. Advanced skills in SQL, with experience working across multiple relational database platforms. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Familiarity with pricing, business intelligence, or revenue optimization domains. Experience with data platforms, data warehousing, or analytics infrastructure. Exposure to agile development practices and version control tools.
