Inventory Control Supervisor
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for executing and improving inventory control processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency within a regulated warehouse environment. This role leads cycle count programs, resolves variances, maintains strict FIFO/FEFO standards, and supports system-driven data integrity efforts. Working closely with Analysts and warehouse staff, the supervisor ensures organized storage, optimal space utilization, and safe material handling in alignment with cGMP, and OSHA requirements. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily inventory control operations to ensure accuracy, traceability, and adherence to regulatory and quality standards. Execute and refine cycle count programs targeting high-turn, high-value materials using ABC classification, Min/Max thresholds, and location-based logic. Investigate inventory variances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to drive systemic and behavioral improvements. Partner with Analysts to develop WMS-driven triggers, exception flags, and tools that support data integrity and inventory accountability. Enforce FIFO/FEFO practices for perishable, temperature-sensitive, and regulated goods; ensure compliant material rotation and documentation. Maintain high standards of inventory hygiene and accuracy through continuous data validation across physical stock and WMS records. Deploy and uphold visual controls, 5S practices, and optimized storage layouts to ensure organization and operational readiness. Coordinate racking adjustments and space utilization based on material flow, volume changes, and process redesigns. Train and mentor warehouse personnel on inventory protocols, documentation requirements, compliance, and handling procedures. Monitor key inventory KPIs (e.g., shrink, variance, location accuracy) and escalate issues impacting availability, cost, or schedule reliability. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to organize, relocate, or segregate materials as required; ensure handling and storage meets cGMP and safety standards. Ensure compliance with OSHA, and internal safety policies; maintain clean, hazard-free workspaces and report issues promptly. Perform additional tasks and cross-functional support duties as needed to meet inventory, systems, and operational objectives.
