Job Details:
Provide on-call coverage for Emergency Department consultations in a Level III Trauma Facility Must have expertise in Total Joint replacements and general orthopedics Handle various orthopedic cases including fractures, sports injuries, and general orthopedic procedures Perform total joint replacements (hip, knee, and other joints) Conduct joint revision or repair procedures for shoulder, hip, knee Experience with arthroscopy required No spine procedures required Tendon release/repair procedures preferred Must have active MI License, MI CDS, and MI DEA US Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery required Call shifts are 24-hour coverage (7am-7am) Orientation required on first day of assignment Facility lodging preferred if available Typically handles 'bread and butter' cases; sick or complicated patients are transferred 30-day estimated credentialing timeframe
