**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The RN will work under the direction of a Nurse Manager and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all nursing activities related to patient care for a specific group of patients. The ideal candidate must possess a strong ability to evaluate physical and psychosocial needs, administer direct patient care, and provide crucial education for patients and their families.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Collect and analyze data relevant to patients’ conditions and promptly report critical values to physicians.
- Assess appropriate lab and diagnostic data; document findings of physical assessments and identify abnormalities.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Advocate for the patient and their families, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Perform nursing interventions according to established protocols and patient requirements.
- Evaluate patient outcomes in relation to established goals.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, exercising utmost care during patient interactions.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with patients, families, peers, and staff.
- Foster open communication with nursing management and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Mentor and guide nursing personnel within the assigned team.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by management.
**Qualifications:**
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Current New York RN License is mandatory.
- Certification in AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS/Moderate Sedation required.
- BSN preferred, with at least 2 years of nursing experience.
- Flexibility to work shifts in either East Hampton or Southampton as per unit needs.
- Willingness to participate in additional specialty training if required.
**Work Schedule:**
- Shifts include day and night flex schedules. Specific times may vary, including 6 AM - 6:30 PM or 6 PM - 6:30 AM.
- No scheduled time off (RTO) for the first 13 weeks.
- Block scheduling is not available; nurses must be adaptable to changing schedules.
**Scrubs:**
- East Hampton: Red top, grey bottom.
- Southampton: Navy blue scrubs.
