Job DescriptionWelder B - Westwego, LAPerform as directed, welding on all equipment and structures needed to meet operational needs of stevedoring activities. Perform inspections and make repairs on rig equipment to insure they remain ready and operational.Daily ResponsibilitiesMaintain housekeeping and work area throughout the day while performing job and insure work area at end of shift is cleared and work ready. Welding to facilitate operations:Welding deck bumpersHandrailsMobile equipment, cages and buckets.Be able to weld vertical and horizontal.Perform inspection of all rig/crane equipment for needed welding repairs and completion of associated inspection forms including: mobile equipment, crane barge and crane bucketGaugeRemoval and installation of pins.Basic welding and fittingAssist in all mobile equipment and crane repairs.Perform LOTO proceduresExecute JSA'sComplete following as needed: JSA, LOTO, inspection form, daily logs, requisition forms, etc.Perform meter analysis of required holds and areas prior to workOperate mobile equipment on deck of rigQualificationsTrained in usage of air monitoring metersDemonstrate welding proficiency as follows:Vertical and horizontal weldingGaugingInstallation of pinsBasic fitting and weldingProficiency with computer entry:JSA'sLOTO'sInspection formsDaily logsRequisition forms Certified to operate mobile equipment and man-lifts.
