Description
The Administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch. The court systememploys nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.

The Office of Audits conducts audits of the Kentucky Court of Justice, including the Administrative Office ofthe Courts, circuit court clerks, master commissioners and court facilities.
The Division of Audit Services has an immediate need for an Auditor in Daviess County but will serveHenderson, Daviess, Union, Webster as well as (Statewide).
Examples of duties or responsibilities of this classification:

  • Applies professional auditing standards, methods, and procedures to identify, analyze and make recommendationsconcerning the accuracy of accounting systems.
  • Examines and tests ledgers, journals, and other books of original entry for compliance with federal and, or,state policies and regulations.
  • Prepares work papers and accumulates documenting evidence in support of audit adjustments, recommendations,and reports.
  • Attends meetings and training sessions to develop and improve audit skills; and to develop and improve auditskills; and to develop a working knowledge of federal and state policies and regulations governing theprograms, reports, and statements to be audited.
  • Reviews legislation.
  • Recommends changes in accounting manual.
  • Conducts financial record and procedural audits of the Circuit Clerk, MC, DRC, and COJ facilities.
  • Assists and participates in internal investigations.
  • Conducts presentation and educational training in group settings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in related field.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: 1 year accounting experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Assoc. with 3 years job related experience or high school diploma with 5 yearsjob related experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Thisposition requires cell phone use, and the incumbent is subject to reimbursement based on the KCOJ.
