We are seeking a skilled and Experienced Senior Systems Engineer - Combat Systems (Cs) (Engineer, Systems IV-ESY4) to join our team!
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute complex systems engineering efforts across the full development lifecycle for Combat Systems (CS) and related military applications, ensuring technical solutions align with mission objectives and operational needs.
  • Conduct in-depth functional and system-level requirements analysis, supporting the development, documentation, and review of requirements with stakeholders and technical review boards.
  • Support the definition, functional allocation, system design, development, integration, and testing of combat system components and subsystems, applying proven engineering methodologies and best practices.
  • Perform system performance analysis and evaluations, providing technical assessments to guide engineering decisions, trade studies, and design optimization.
  • Contribute to the development of operational concepts and ensure system designs reflect real-world use cases and mission scenarios within naval or joint environments.
  • Develop and deliver total system solutions that consider and balance technical feasibility, cost constraints, performance requirements, and program schedule.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software, hardware, test, and logistics engineers to ensure cohesive and integrated system development.
  • Participate in technical reviews, milestone planning, risk analysis, and system validation activities in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy acquisition frameworks.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in systems engineering practices and mentor junior engineers in systems thinking, documentation standards, and model-based development techniques.
  • Support proposal development, engineering planning, and stakeholder briefings with clear technical input and justification.
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or four (4) years of a demonstrated and established knowledge base and DRAFT subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the SOW. In addition, ten (10) years of experience in conducting detailed, complex engineering activities associated with engineering systems, capabilities, and activities.
The Senior Systems Engineer - CS experience includes:
• Demonstrated experience with functional and system level requirements analysis, requirements generation and technical community review.
• Demonstrated experience with system engineering design, performance, analysis, operational experience for military applications.
• Demonstrated experience in the development of system engineering including the definition, functional allocation, design development, testing, integration, and operational performance.
• Demonstrated experience with development of total system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Top Secret Clearance required.
