Job Title: Investment Operations Specialist
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53212 Hybrid 3 days in office
Duration: 6 Months Contract possible extension
The Global Fund Custody Group (GFC) is a division within Fund Services. Typical types of collateral include broadly syndicated, middle market and private bank loan assets. The operational specialist works closely with internal groups to help maintain a high level of customer service. Adheres to strict business line Service Level Agreements. Will focus on the support of internal partners on a variety of client relationships.
The operational specialists' responsibilities include tracking pending and settled bank loan trades; provide reports to the clients on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis; and respond to internal party requests in a timely fashion. The incumbent ensures 100% accuracy and timeliness of data through proper booking and reconciliation of account activity. The position will be a support position for the rest of the team.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
- One or more years of experience in bank loan processing or loan administrative activities in the syndicated loan market
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Thorough knowledge of bank loan operational functions, systems, and procedures
- Moderate credit agreement interpretation abilities and analytical skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and meet established deadlines in a dynamic teamwork environment
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
- Basic knowledge of Wallstreet Office, SEI, Solvas and CDO Suite preferred
Performs a variety of operational duties within an assigned area of Investment Operations.? Researches and resolves operational and/or accounting exceptions, some of which may involve extensive review.? Interfaces with Investment and other internal personnel to resolve issues and ensure efficient service to customers.? Ensures the accuracy of account statements and information.? Verifies account entries, ensures totals balance and prepares correcting adjustments as needed.? Ensures that all documentation requirements are satisfied.? Responds to telephone or written inquiries and performs research necessitated by special requests from customers, brokers or internal employees.
