Adecco staffing is recruiting for an EHS and Sustainability Manager in Devens! This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
PAY RANGE: $100,000-$140,000 per year DOE
Job Summary:
We're currently seeking a EHS and Sustainability Manager to join us. You'll join a dynamic team of engineers, sales people, marketers, administrators, designers, assemblers, chemists, web developers, accountants, analysts, programmers and many more. Role:
You will provide strategic and day to day leadership to drive the delivery of the WM, America Manufacturing Inc. Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability plan, which initially will be focused on the continued start up and integration of businesses into the new state of the art facility and include these key areas:
• Continue to develop and evolve the existing foundation level EHS system set up to improve on key areas such as: risk assessment matrix and safe operating instruction creation for our plant and machinery.
• EHS policies & procedures evolution and implementation in readiness for ISO certifications and in compliance with OSHA standards and best practices
• Coordination of the EHS training matrix and induction training/knowledge transfer plan (with sender sites)
• Work on the internal design from EHS perspective, eliminating risk at design phase and ensuring all environmental permits are fully operational in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Safe operational start up and behavioral based safety program framework.
• Lead and implement strategy and plan to achieve the ONE Planet targets for net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2025, zero waste to landfill, water reduction and other targets
• Key member of the site senior leadership team driving the business strategies for the entire Site
Safety
• You will passionately lead our #1 priority: the health, wellbeing and safety of our colleagues, contributing to the creation of a strong safety culture at the new facility.
• You will be responsible for embedding and continually improving our ISO systems and maintaining our accreditations.
• You will entrench our behavior-based safety program, training and coaching others to be confident to challenge unsafe behavior and reinforce great safe behaviors.
• You will be responsible for reporting the site monthly EHS KPIs on our journey to zero harm.
• You will own the occupational health program for the site.
• You will be the subject matter expert for OSHA federal, state and local regulations. Furthermore, be responsible for accident or incident investigation and identifying appropriate corrective actions.
Customer Focus
• You will develop and deliver a site specific EHS plan with all activities aligned with our strategy, to be mutually agreed with the Managing Director and Head of EHS.
• You will coach leaders and managers to improve business performance through EHS development, engagement and wellbeing of their teams.
Requirements:
• Self-managing and highly motivated, with strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in multiple teams
• Be organized, methodical, resilient and approachable with strong communication & influencing skills
• Be delivery focused with strong attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Direct experience of leading, developing and implementing best-practice EHS practice in projects and/or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO50001
• Have proven experience of working with EHS systems and competent with Microsoft IT packages
• Valid qualification in occupational Health, Safety or Environmental e.g., BS/BA or equivalent experience. Certified Safety
• Professional accreditation preferred.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
