Leidos is looking for a Transmission Line Engineering Manager who will lead a dynamic team in enhancing electric transmission line design projects. As a leader in this fast-paced environment, you will supervise and guide a team focused on high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) overhead electric utility systems. Your role will require applying NESC, ASCE, and other industry standards in the design of both new capacity and infrastructure replacement projects. You will also engage in engineering analyses, prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, and assist with material procurement.
This collaborative role offers the chance to work alongside project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management teams while developing your own engineering team. You will also manage client relations, oversee proposal development, create project scopes, and ensure successful project delivery.

What You'll Need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, with 12+ years of experience in electric utility transmission design.
- A Professional Engineering Registration in at least one U.S. state or equivalent.
- Proficiency with software such as PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE, FAD, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
It’s a Plus If You Have:
- A Master's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Project Management Professional certification.
- An ability to work effectively in both team settings and independently.
- A proven track record in client and project communication.
- Willingness to work in client offices and travel as required.
- A knack for mentoring and developing your team.
- Capability to review engineering calculations and models, including PLS-CADD.
- Knowledge of NESC requirements, construction cost estimating, specifications, procurement processes, project scheduling, and construction work packages.
- Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, Bentley ProjectWise, ESRI ArcGIS Programs, Microsoft SharePoint, and Mathcad.

Pay Range: $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
