Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, US:CO:Aurora

Department: Sterile Processing AIP

FTE: Part Time, 0.6, 48.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Weekend Nights

Pay: $22.80 - $29.64 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

As the Lead Sterile Processing Technician, you will guide and support team members in a dynamic environment by sharing your advanced knowledge and expertise. Your leadership will be key in ensuring the highest standards of sterile processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures to enhance operational excellence.
  • Mentor and evaluate team performance, focusing on productivity and quality management while fostering teamwork and cooperation.
  • Coordinate services, prioritize assignments, and facilitate effective problem-solving within the team. Assist with supply ordering and monitor staff metrics.
  • Handle responsibilities of the underlying role and provide guidance on complex issues when needed.
  • Utilize strong critical thinking skills and decisiveness while working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Preferred: Course in Medical Terminology.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST). Preferred: Certification in Healthcare Leadership (CHL), Instrument Specialist (CIS), or Endoscope Reprocessor (CER).
  • Minimum Experience: At least 2 years in sterile processing.
