We are Recruiting on Purpose a Structural Engineer with experience in the design of water and wastewater treatment plant projects. This role combines technical leadership, project management, and team mentorship to deliver high-impact infrastructure solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio that includes both heavy civil and architectural projects while helping to shape the next of engineering talent.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

n
    n
  • Lead structural engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • n
  • Coordinate all aspects of construction administration and quality control.
  • n
  • Apply project management best practices to streamline execution and maintain high standards.
  • n
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; serve as a trusted advisor by understanding client goals and providing effective, tailored solutions.
  • n
n

Technical Leadership:

n
    n
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute complex structural designs.
  • n
  • Oversee the preparation of structural reports, plans, and specifications across multiple concurrent projects.
  • n
  • Support a variety of structural project types, including:
  • n
      n
    • Water and wastewater treatment facilities
    • n
    • Dams, flood walls, and retaining structures
    • n
    • Water transmission facilities
    • n
    • Low to mid-rise commercial, educational, and industrial buildings
    • n
    n
  • n
n

Staff Development:

n
    n
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and project managers to foster professional growth.
  • n
  • Promote a collaborative and knowledge-sharing work environment.
  • n

Requirements

n

Required Qualifications:

n
    n
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • n
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • n
  • 6+ years of structural design experience
  • n
  • Strong leadership, project coordination, and communication skills
  • n
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • n
n

Qualifications:

n
    n
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering
  • n
  • Project management experience, particularly in federal infrastructure projects
  • n
n
