We are seeking a Lead Signal Processing Engineer to work on innovative EW programs and make significant contributions to signal collection, processing, and signal intelligence. In this role, you will engage in the research, design, and development of systems that extract vital information from various signal sensors. This position allows you to lead technical teams, achieve program goals, and play a part in business development initiatives. We are looking for a self-motivated expert with exceptional problem-solving skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to establish strong working relationships with both colleagues and external governmental partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing advanced algorithms and conducting performance simulations using both simulated and real data in time series and spectral domains.
  • Supporting marketing efforts and business development by creating technical solutions for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs).
  • Participating in or leading lab-based and field testing efforts.
  • Managing multiple projects and potentially taking on the role of Technical Team Lead.
  • Effectively communicating results through briefings and written reports to team members, customers, and management.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance and the capability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in radar signal processing
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Linux, Mathematica, Python, Simulink, and programming languages such as C/C++, Java
  • Strong knowledge of digital filtering, spectral estimation, detection theory, linear algebra, and stochastic processes
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently
  • Willingness to tackle new challenges and pursue growth in new areas
  • Proven leadership skills in managing small, multidisciplinary technical teams and projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience in task leadership or team management
  • Background in EW, SIGINT, or radar as a technical expert
  • Experience in Business Development and Proposal writing
  • Knowledge in modeling and simulation (M&S), radar technology, adaptive radar, signal processing, algorithm development, or synthetic aperture radar (SAR)

Note: The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $217,000 for qualified candidates with an active clearance and the potential to secure a TS/SCI clearance. Must be able to work on-site in our Arlington, VA or San Diego, CA offices.
