What You'll Do:
nAs CDL A or B Fleet Lead Mechanic , your role is to ensure that our trucks, trailers, and equipment are always ready for the road. You'll oversee maintenance schedules, monitor safety compliance, and work with both in-house technicians and external vendors to keep costs manageable while maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability.
nYour Expected Results:
nKeep Drivers Moving:

- Minimize downtime by addressing driver-submitted DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports) within 24 hours . n
- Schedule preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs during off-time to keep service disruptions low. n
- Resolve roadside issues quickly with the help of vendors and internal techs. n
Control Maintenance Costs:

- Efficiently track PM schedules, repairs, and parts to manage costs without sacrificing safety. n
- Collaborate with vendors on quotes and work orders to stay within budget and avoid unnecessary repairs. n
Ensure DOT Compliance:
n- n
- Maintain up-to-date inspection, maintenance, and safety documentation. n
- Verify that annual inspections, labels, and emergency equipment are compliant across all units. n
Maintain Accurate Systems & Reporting:

- Enter work orders and repairs into Shop Software within 24 hours , ensuring clarity and completeness. n
- Support cost control by reviewing parts usage and service logs. n
Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Lead & Mentor Mechanics: Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure the team is equipped to succeed and grow. n
- Set Performance Standards: Ensure high-quality work and timely completion of tasks, maintaining safety and compliance. n
- Assign & Oversee Tasks: Delegate daily responsibilities to mechanics based on skill level and priority, ensuring efficient operations. n
- Conduct Reviews & Provide Feedback: Regularly assess performance, offer constructive feedback, and set growth goals. n
- Ensure Safety Compliance: Lead by example to enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment. n
- Promote Teamwork: Foster collaboration between mechanics, drivers, and other departments for seamless operations. n
- Resolve Conflicts & Improve Efficiency: Address issues promptly and implement improvements to optimize workflows and team performance. n
- Lead by Example: Model professionalism, accountability, and a strong work ethic for the team. n

- Required CDL A or B n
- Familiarity with Shop Software or similar fleet management tools. n

- Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations. n
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the team. n
