Duties:

  • Deliver personal care to patients, assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
  • Administer medications as instructed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor vital signs and promptly report any changes or concerns to medical personnel.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Home Health Aide (HHA).
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to prepare simple meals and perform light housekeeping as needed.
  • Completion of the New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in literacy and basic arithmetic.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
