We are seeking an Automotive Mechanical Engineer to become a part of our team! You will be required to perform a variety of engineering tasks, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase operation efficiency.
nResponsibilities:

- Interface with customers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues n
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality control, and suppliers. n
- Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and documentation to internal team members. n
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback. n
- Reporting of the project for group KPIs according to Telma standards. n
- Project manager and technical contact point for customers. n
- Follow OEM standards and CSRs according to automotive standards. n
- Adapt mechanical installation components and systems for automotive applications, including but not limited to transmissions, chassis, suspension, and especially advanced braking systems. n
- Determine the bill of materials for each installation. n
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) to create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings. n
- Follow calculations and simulations (e.g., FEA) to analyze stress, strain, vibration, and heat transfer to ensure optimal performance and durability. n
- Carry out driveline installation drawings and calculations (U-joint default angles, cardan shaft adaptations). n
- Test plans to validate design performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. n
- Analyze test data, identify root causes of failures, and recommend design modifications. n
- Commissioning of vehicles, after-sales troubleshooting, onsite product installation. n
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimize existing designs for improved performance, cost reduction, weight reduction, and enhanced control efficiency. n
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues in existing vehicle braking systems and proposing effective solutions. n
- Stay abreast of new technologies, materials, and industry trends in heavy automotive engineering. n
- Ensure all designs and developments adhere to relevant safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements. n
- Assist in the creation and implementation of procedural control documentation. n
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university. Master's degree a plus. n
- Proven experience (typically 4+ years) in automotive mechanical design, development, or testing. n
- Experience with powertrains, chassis, body, or braking systems is highly desirable. n
- Experience in commissioning vehicles, after-sales troubleshooting, onsite product installation and customer support. n
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations (e.g., SAE, ISO). n
- Project management n
- Teamwork n
- Handling of installation tools (clinometer, ohmmeter, clamp ammeter, etc.) n
- Office tools (Office suite, email) n
- Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools is a plus. n
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) is a plus. n
- Knowledge of electro-magnetic braking systems is a plus. n
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. n
- Ability to work as part of a team. n
- Detailed-oriented with a strong commitment to quality. n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. n
- May involve occasional hands-on work in a lab or shop environment. n
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. n
- Will require occasional travel to test facilities, customers, or supplier sites in the USA and abroad. n
