* Hospital Beds: 66 (staffed) * ICU Beds: 12 * Cath Lab: 1 (24/7) * Trauma Designation: Level III * ED Volume: 15,000 * Stroke Center Classification: Emergent Stroke Prep Center * ED Beds: 10 * Fast Track Beds: 3 * Total ED Beds: 13 * EMR: Meditech * Scribes: No * Admitting %: 16% * Pediatric %: 17% * Bridge Orders: Yes * Bedside Ultrasound: Yes * Floor Codes: EM physicians attend floor codes * EM Physician Procedures: Airway Management (Intubation), Conscious Sedation (Physicians use Propofol), Central Lines, Chest Tubes * Imaging: CT 24/7, Ultrasound (Monday-Friday), MRI, Radiology (nighthawk service at night) * Back Up: General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Hospital Medicine Program (on call at nights), Cardiology (They keep STEMIs), Pulmonology, Neurology - consults with higher level hospital, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Limited ENT, Limited Urology, General Surgery, Tele ICU Support (keep critically ill patients) * No GI, No Nephrology * Transfers: Level I Trauma: Freeman or Mercy in Joplin, MO; Critically Ill Pediatrics: Children's Mercy (Kansas City); Burns: Kansas University or Cox Medical Center in Springfield
Requirements:
* BE/BC Emergency Medicine (ABEM, ABOEM), BC FP with experience * Credentialing Timeline: 90 days * Active KS license
