Position Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst protects organizational networks and systems by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity threats. This position uses advanced security tools to monitor vulnerabilities, detect suspicious activity, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity directives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform regular vulnerability scanning, analysis, and remediation using approved cybersecurity tools.
Monitor event logs, alerts, and reports to detect and respond to potential threats.
Implement security controls in alignment with organizational risk management strategies.
Support security incident investigations, documenting findings and corrective actions.
Assist with maintaining compliance to DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) directives.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or network defense role.
Proficiency with tools such as ACAS, Nessus, HBSS, and Trellix.
Certifications
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security).
Security Requirements
Must have or be eligible for a Secret clearance.
