The Inventory Control Leader oversees the ordering, storing, receiving, and distribution processes of the school district's products and supplies within budgetary restrictions, for the Auxiliary Services Department. Main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking, distributing, and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation. 40 hours per week/52 weeks per yearQUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree or Equivalent Work Experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Experience utilizing AS-400 is preferred Proficient in Inventory Bar Coding Program preferred Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and up to 125 lbs. occasionally Willing to become certified in the operation of a hi-low and monorail Willing to become certified in Class "C" fuel tanks Ability to frequently use stairs, push, pull and lift Must be organized and have written and oral communication skills General bookkeeping knowledge preferred Pleasant telephone manners and interpersonal skills required Must be self-motivated Proven ability to work both independently and cooperatively with others and share in work assignments in an active work environment DESCRIPTION: Manages inventory for the Auxiliary Services Department Prepares and develops bids and quotes for all inventory departments Prepares purchase orders and receives materials and supplies into inventory Receives all deliveries and assists in unloading items Conducts quality control audits Distributes inventory parts to mechanics, skilled tradesmen, and contractors Maintains and enforces security procedures implemented by Administration Maintains proper inventory levels Investigates inventory errors and performs corrective measures Performs physical count of inventory and performs reconciliation activities Performs daily inventory reports and investigates any discrepancies Orders non-inventory parts in a timely manner to maintain buses, maintenance, and warehouse vehicles Verifies all non-inventory invoices before processing for payment Works with head mechanic to prepare for yearly Michigan State Policy Bus Inspection Works with Director of Risk Management and head mechanic to prepare for yearly tire bid Works with head mechanic to determine new bus parts that need to be added to inventory stock Works with head mechanic on bus warranty parts, processes, and maintains documentation Works with Skilled Trade Leaders to determine new parts that need to be added to inventory Works with Transportation Manager to coordinate back to schools cleaning supplies purchases Secures, dispenses, and collects shop tools for mechanics and skilled tradesmen. Works with the Transportation Manager on the replacement of worn or broken mechanic tools Maintains and orders welding supplies, including all gases Maintains and updates Safety Data Sheets and informs Director of Risk Management on new products Performs additional duties as assigned by Administrator Applicants must apply online at https://uticak12.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx.
