Psychiatric Administrative Coordinator
Position Summary
As the Psychiatric Administrative Coordinator, you will collaborate directly w/ the TSRC Practice Administrator, the Attending Physician, the Resident Physicians, and other clinical and administrative staff. You will be responsible for helping to maintain and organize the workflow of patient information, clinical schedule, reporting responsibilities, and other tasks impacting entities associated with the Psychiatric department. This is a full-time position requiring five in-person days per week, Monday – Friday, from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (including a one-hour lunch).
Responsibilities Coordination of Psychiatric schedule for both Psychiatrists and residents both via the hospital and TSRC. Answering/tracking of phone calls both administrative and clinical in nature Effective communication via all available company channels, including company e-mail, instant messenger, and via telephone. Management of patient files to ensure proper organization for clinical and administrative team Distinguish different patient types, including hospital clientele, Workers’ Compensation patients, and other outside referrals. Compilation, tracking, and management of mandatory reporting from all
requesting/concerned
parties. Work in parallel with the Practice Administrator and the Attending Physician Manage sensitive patient information, such as patient records, prescriptions, intake forms, testing, and research files. Primary contact for any potential patient and/or pharmacy issues/concerns about prescribed medication from the clinic Participate in creation of possible research lab and publication opportunities for prospective Ph.D. candidates.
Required Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field or one-year experience working in a mental health setting. Excellent writing and communication skills Detail oriented and organized. Expertise in Microsoft Office and Telehealth Products (Zoom) Familiarity with psychological testing/data entry and processing (preferred) Work experience in health and/or mental health fields (preferred)
