This position will help operate our store on a day-to-day basis. Ellis Home & Garden is a family-owned and operated business that offers flexible scheduling, a family-oriented atmosphere, and a great working environment.Responsibilities and DutiesThis position will combine being a Cashier and a Sales Associate. Cashiers are the face of the company and usually the first person that our customers see when they come to our store. Cashiers are responsible for greeting customers, processing transactions accurately, answering phone calls, and any other assigned duties. The Sales Associates work throughout the store; duties include unloading delivery trucks, helping customers with purchases, cleaning, stocking and any other assigned duties.Qualifications and SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredSome college preferredLifting 50+/- pounds periodicallyComfortable working in all weather conditions periodicallyComputer proficiency requiredRetail point of sale experience preferredCash handling experience Plant knowledge preferred, but not required (we will train you!)Must be available Nights & WeekendsMust be 18 years of ageMinimum 1 year Forklift Operator experience preferredPay determined by experience: starting at $13.50 per hourPlease fill out an application online or apply in person during our business hours; Mon-Fri 8am-2pmCompensation: $13.50 per hour The Ellis Family TraditionEllis is a family owned and operated company dating back to the late 1800's with its original roots in pottery manufacturing in Marshall, Texas.
