We also provide an annually loaded HSA of up to $2,500, a 5% match towards your retirement, generous paid time off (19 days per year) and paid Holidays.POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our Behavioral Health Urgent Care team for a full-time night shift position.Initially, the chosen candidate will undergo training during daytime hours, within current programming hours, until we transition to a 24/7 operational model. Current operational hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM and on weekends from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.As we transition to a 24/7 operational model, this position will evolve to three 12-hour night shifts. All full-time employees in this role will continue to be compensated for 40 hours per week, regardless of shift duration.Join us in making a meaningful impact in the field of behavioral health while working in a supportive and innovative environment.GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer or designee, performs evaluations, diagnoses, ongoing assessments, and treatment of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, and/or developmental disabilities. Identifies client needs, makes treatment plans and referrals, and provides medication management and psycho-educational support in collaboration with existing medical staff and program; performs related work as required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Master s degree. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Fully licensed in the State of Michigan as a Physician Assistant, has Michigan Controlled Substance License, Current MCCPA certification.
- Preference:Three (3) years experience working as a Certified Physician Assistant AND three (3) years clinical experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and/or developmental disabilities, including assessment, medication management, and crisis intervention in the outpatient or inpatient setting. Experience working as a certified Physician Assistant in collaboration with a psychiatrist.
