Overview:

A Systems Specialist works in the Technology Solutions Division assisting with all things Technology, (Audio Visual, Security, Building Automation/Integration, DAS, Lighting Control, Wireless, and Structured Cabling).

Compensation Range for this Position:

$40.00 - $53.00 per hour, depending on experience

Specific Responsibilities:

Review, inspect, and interpret blueprint diagrams for technology systems

Advanced troubleshooting skills and subsequent repair of nonfunctioning components

Working knowledge of relay logic

Understanding of network protocols

Working knowledge and proper approach to large complex projects

Working knowledge and proper approach of end user service calls

Training the next generation of craft men and women

The construction process from scheduling to manpower to the labor, materials and equipment required for installation

REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of ten years of industry or equivalent experience is required along with a high level of effective communication skills, estimating and budgeting experience. Must act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in specialized installations, QA/QC oversight, training (internal and external), codes and/or standards, commissioning, design review (engineering peer reviews), trade coordination (Div. 26 Liaison, Vendor/MFG) client coordination and communication (AHJ/Consultants), identifying scope gap/creep, schedule delays and more.
