is seeking a
Business Systems Analyst
to provide support to the US Navy. Work is associated with the software development, implementation, and support of a large family of shore-based IT applications. The successful candidate will support the modernization of legacy applications and must have the ability to extract business context from end user community and work with technical teams to design solutions to meet the context. Work will be performed on-site in Norfolk.
Experience Requirements: Mid-level or more years of experience as a Business Analyst, and/or Systems Analyst background. Reviewing and developing product and project requirements. Support and participate in reviews, boards, and status/coordination meetings with the Integrated Project Team (IPT). Participate in reviews, including technical exchange meetings, program interval planning, iteration planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives. Experience as an Agile team member such as using SCRUM or SAFe frameworks. Participate in daily Triage of Testing defects and analysis of next steps. Conduct integration evaluation and functional verification test and defect prioritization. Ability to serve as a mentor to junior staff in non-technical roles. Experience using MS Word and Excel and effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to leverage best practices in a DoD enterprise and ensuring their application Experience with Ship Maintenance and Ship Lifecycle Management Systems, and/or experience with NAVSEA highly preferred Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred but not required. Additionally Beneficial:
Please note if you have any experience with the following: SAP - Material Management Experience with Ship Maintenance and Ship Lifecycle Management Systems, and/or experience with NAVSEA. Background in ERP Solutions (preferably Govt Solutions) as well as legacy technologies such as apps built using third generation languages Shipyard Experience, i.e. Norfolk, Portsmouth, Pearl, and or Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Software languages, applications, operating systems, frameworks, integrated data environments and other expertise Software/Systems Engineering using Agile methodologies, with the ability to tailor to a specific system engineering process and software development tools Use of SDLC tools (Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, TEAMS) Security Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required Candidate must have active Secret clearance
