Required Skills:
Strong Linux experience (Red Hat 7 preferred; other distributions acceptable)
Data integration or migration experience (not hardware-related)
Familiarity with network traffic and bandwidth utilization
Ability to work with and troubleshoot complex legacy environments
The immediate goal is to ensure historical motor testing data from a legacy system is fully accessible and operational in a newer platform, meeting a hard deadline of December 31st.
Key Responsibilities:
Support system integration between legacy (ASA 2000) and modern Propulsion platforms
Enable data interoperability by replicating legacy front-end functionality in the new system
Leverage DDS to transport data across systems and ensure seamless communication
Troubleshoot and optimize network traffic and bandwidth usage for data transfer
Assist with future upgrades of Red Hat Linux from v7 to v9/10
Work independently to resolve system compatibility issues between platforms
Technical Environment:
Legacy System: ASA 2000 on Red Hat Linux 7
Target System: Propulsion (new system)
Integration Tool: DDS (Data Distribution Service)
OS Upgrade Path: Red Hat 7 ? Red Hat 9/10
Preferred/Bonus Skills:
Experience with DDS (Data Distribution Service)
Familiarity with ASA 2000 systems
C++ and/or SQL experience
Background in system emulation or data replication projects
Ideal Candidate:
5+ years of relevant technical experience
Comfortable working in a complex technical environment with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Effective communicator and team collaborator
