Basic Job Functions:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting network infrastructures primarily for the Brandenburg facility while working with the support teams to support platforms across the enterprise, and contributing to building a competitive advantage while maximizing security and operational effectiveness.
Coordinating with local and enterprise teammates on network design architectures
Leading local infrastructure equipment installation and configuration and maintenance
Drive consistency with current and upcoming networking standards across the enterprise
Provide technical customer service support to local teammate requests and projects
Ability to identify, establish and improve department standards, policies, and procedures.
This is a fulltime, permanent position with the Nucor Business Technology Team. Relocation to Brandenburg, KY is required.

Minimum Qualifications:
3 years of related experience configuring and managing network infrastructure equipment.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol, VLANs, DHCP/DNS protocols
Working knowledge of LAN design, cabling, installation, configuration, and management
Ability to travel and work on call rotation as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Net+, CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, or other industry accepted Network certification
Cisco Catalyst 9k switching/wireless
Singlemode/multimode fiber installation
Spanning Tree configuration/administration
IP Routing including various routing protocols
Network monitoring and configuration backups
