Position Overview

Join our Surgical Cardiology Unit, where we care for patients with:

Cardiovascular conditions (e.g., dysrhythmia, atherosclerosis)

Post-surgical recovery (CABG, valve replacements, TAVR)

Thoracic, vascular, and general surgeries

, you'll lead and support a high-performing care team while advancing nursing practice and fostering a healing, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead RNs, LPNs, PA/APRNs, surgeons, hospitalists & support staff

Manage hiring, training, performance & compliance

Develop department plans aligned with clinical priorities

Promote transformational leadership & continuous learning

Ensure safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care

Support staff development & well-being

Maintain regulatory & policy compliance

Minimum Qualifications

RN license (Connecticut)

BSN from accredited program

BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

5+ years acute care nursing experience

Leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

MSN degree

Experience in acute care, med-surg, or cardiology
