In this hands-on role, you'll fabricate and weld steel components that support infrastructure across the country. You'll thrive in a stable, team-oriented environment where following processes and producing consistent, high-quality work is deeply valued.What You'll DoReview blueprints and schematics to prepare materials and equipmentSet up, assemble, and weld mild steel (and occasionally stainless steel) componentsUse MIG welding techniques that meet AWS and internal QC standardsOperate overhead cranes and rigging equipment safely during assemblyLay out work using tape measures, squares, and standard toolsCut, drill, and fabricate steel per design specificationsMaintain a clean, organized work area aligned with safety and quality practicesFollow standard operating procedures and production schedules with accuracy RequirementsWhat You'll Bring3+ years of experience in welding or metal fabrication preferredMIG welding proficiency required; ability to pass AWS/internal QC weld testsAbility to read blueprints and work to specificationsFamiliarity with overhead crane operation and safe lifting techniquesCapable of lifting 60 lbs. and working on your feet for 12 hours/dayA dependable work ethic and appreciation for consistency, order, and teamworkPreferred but not required: Background in steel manufacturing or industrial fabrication, Certification in welding or trade school trainingAbout Us and Our Core Values B-TEK Scales, LLC. is a leading manufacturer of high-capacity truck, rail, floor, and bench scales proudly built in Canton, Ohio.
