nWe're excited to share a fantastic opportunity for a Mid-Career Groundwater Modeler to join our CDM Smith Boston team! This role offers a unique chance to contribute to impactful and technically challenging groundwater modeling projects, collaborating with a team of experts dedicated to advancing environmental solutions.
nDuties and Responsibilities

- Contribute to moderate complexity numerical groundwater modeling projects including flow and transport simulations. n
-Apply foundational training in groundwater hydraulics or hydrology to support project goals and contribute to modeling tasks.
n-Assist in developing and calibrating groundwater models using various modeling codes and platforms under the guidance of senior staff.
n-Collaborate with team members to learn best practices and enhance technical skills in groundwater modeling.
n-Support client interactions by helping prepare and present modeling results in a clear and professional manner.
n-Contribute to technical documentation and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives such as Total Knowledge Management.
n-Review modeling outputs for accuracy and compliance, with oversight from senior modelers.
n-Engage in professional development opportunities, including conferences and symposia, to grow expertise and represent the firm's capabilities.

nMinimum Qualifications:
n-Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Coastal or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
n-Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in states where an EIT is not obtainable (within 18 months of hire or promotion or transfer).
n-5 years of related experience.
n-Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
n-Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

nSkills and Abilities:
n-Solid academic and professional foundation in groundwater hydraulics or hydrology.
n-Practical experience applying both flow and transport models to real-world projects.
n-Proficiency with multiple groundwater modeling codes and platforms.
n-Demonstrated ability to support and informally mentor junior staff.
n-Growing experience in client engagement, including presenting technical results and supporting proposal efforts.
n-Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
n-Working knowledge of scientific methods and engineering principles relevant to groundwater modeling.
nProficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with GIS software for spatial data analysis.
nBackground Check and Drug Testing Information:
