Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as a critical liaison between the company and its patients. This advanced-level position involves collecting quality blood specimens, ensuring accurate data entry, and creating a supportive, professional environment for patients. PSR II team members are highly skilled in phlebotomy, including pediatric and geriatric collections, and may be assigned to physician offices, patient service centers, or alternate sites based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform specimen collection and processing confidently using clinical and forensic protocols.
  • Verify patient identification and ensure all tubes are labeled accurately in the patient's presence.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment at all assigned locations.
  • Accurately complete daily records, logs, and patient documentation.
  • Deliver error-free work in high-volume, fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
  • Support company policies, including dress code, health and safety, and compliance guidelines.
  • Adapt to flexible scheduling needs, including travel, on-call, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Represent the organization with superior customer focus and professional communication.
  • Travel to multiple locations as needed, sometimes on short notice.
  • Follow company protocols to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
  • 3+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Experience in a Patient Service Center setting (2+ years preferred)
  • Customer service background in healthcare, retail, or service industries
  • Proficiency in data entry and use of medical software
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record (if applicable)
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training
  • Phlebotomy certification (REQUIRED in CA, NV, and WA)
