We're looking for a dedicated Quality Engineer to join a team, located in Warren, MI. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving quality standards, ensuring our products meet both internal and customer requirements. You will play a critical role in problem-solving, process improvement, and communicating with various teams and stakeholders, including our partners in Korea.

Salary: $60,000 or more depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Problem-Solving & Analysis: You will analyze quality issues, determine root causes, and document and report your findings. You will also participate in daily Fast Response Meetings and other investigations to identify and resolve defects.
- Customer and Supplier Communication: You'll be the primary contact for customer plants, addressing concerns, complaints, and requests. You will also report quality issues to management, and Korea office, and our suppliers.
- Process and Compliance Management: You will monitor daily production processes, conduct audits (product, manufacturing, and layered process audits), and ensure compliance with key quality standards like APQP , PPAP , VDA6.3 , and IATF16949 .
- Training and Documentation: You'll generate and maintain work instructions for sorting and rework activities and train team members, including Floating Line Leaders and Quality Technicians.
- Team Leadership: You will manage and supervise a team of Quality Technicians , handling workload distribution, approving overtime, and managing paid time off.
- Continuous Improvement: You will actively participate in improvement initiatives and support changes related to 4M (Man, Machine, Material, Method) and engineering orders.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
- Knowledge of computer and quality tools.
- Strong math skills and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- The ability to communicate in Korean is a must.
- Experience with Global Quality Tracking System (GQTS) is a plus.
