Programs include inpatient interventions, jail based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long term psychiatric are in coordination with the total system of care in Louisiana
ELMHS is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and positive individual to join our team as a Psych Aide 1 or a Psych Aide 2.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
In this role, you will:
- Attend, report, and accepts patient care assignment for assigned shift.
- Maintain a therapeutic environment, correctly identify patient growth and development stage, and communicate according to level of understanding, stage of growth and development.
- Ensure patient safety and demonstrate ability to identify potential or real safety hazards, corresponding to individual patient stage of growth and development.
- Conduct patient groups under the direction of RN staff and documents patient participation; participate in treatment team staffing, provide nursing input and notifies appropriate personnel when patient conditions or behaviors change.
- Perform routine nursing duties according to level of competency and within licensure guidelines and documents findings or patient's responses accurately and timely.
- Maintain open communication with supervisors, reports accidents, injuries according to policy and procedure and participates willingly in investigations, provides incident reports when appropriate.
- Maintain a current and unencumbered motor vehicle license

Compensation:
- This position is eligible for an SER rate of:
- $12.15 an hour or $972.00 bi-weekly for a Psych Aide 1
- $13.00 an hour or $1040.00 bi-weekly for Psych Aide 2
- This position is eligible for the following premium pays (Per Hour Physically Worked):
- $1.00 an hour for Facility Longevity
- $1.50 an hour for Recruitment and Retention
