Senior Network Engineer NetImpact Strategies is seeking a talented Senior Network Engineer to support a local military medical center in Ft. Sam Houston, TX. This is a 100% onsite role. Job Description This position is designed to support all network activities, requiring subject matter expertise in LAN, WLAN, and WAN technologies and strategies. Responsibilities: Evaluate network performance regularly, troubleshoot proactively, and implement solutions to minimize downtime. Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls to safeguard data and ensure compliance. Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures. Provide performance and incident reports, along with recommendations for improvements. Mentor junior engineers and technicians, offering training on tools, practices, and troubleshooting. Coordinate and execute integration of new hardware, software, and solutions. Plan and oversee system upgrades for compatibility with evolving technologies. Manage administrative functions related to the contract, such as timekeeping and reports. Act as on-site lead for contractors, documenting progress and compliance. Qualifications Required: Master's Degree or equivalent (Bachelor's + 2 years YOE, HS Diploma + 6 years YOE). Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) level certification. Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) training and 4 years of practical experience. 5+ years supporting a hospital environment with 100+ beds. 5+ years supporting military production networks. 10+ years supporting LAN and WLAN activities, including deploying large wireless networks. Ability to work onsite and hold an active Government Secret Clearance. Preferred: Previous federal consulting experience.
