We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Operations Engineer to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Navy Ship Self-Defense System in Moorestown, NJ. Responsibilities Manage and support containerized environments using Podman, Docker, and Docker Compose Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on Kubernetes clusters Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable deployments Work with development, security, and product teams to plan, deploy, and maintain services Maintain onsite virtualization environment Document operational procedures and create clear runbooks Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher (in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field) or equivalent related work experience This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government secret clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s) 2-4 years' experience in Cloud Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps Hands-on experience with Podman, Docker, and Docker Compose in production environments Solid experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters Proficient with scripting languages (Bash, Python) Experience with version control tools (git) Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus and Grafana) Strong understanding of networking, security, and IAM in cloud environments Strong background in containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native technologies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to articulate technical issues clearly to both engineers and non-engineers Participate in team planning meetings, and stakeholder updates Preferred Qualifications Secret Security Clearance Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) Familiarity with Podman in rootless environments Experience with operating IL5/IL6 compliance environments Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP Prior experience in high-availability or regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2) We invest in the lives of our employees, both in and out of the workplace, by providing competitive pay and benefits packages.
