Position Title:
Research Data Management Specialist The Research Data Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting NYU's institutional commitment to balancing open science/access with protecting research data assets through a risk assessment and mitigation approach in partnership with the research community. The specialist supports comprehensive data lifecycle management, data security, and compliance efforts. This position coordinates with various university units to ensure that research data is properly identified, categorized, classified, and well-managed while ensuring adherence to university policies and regulatory requirements. Integral to NYUs Research Security Program, the specialist provides essential administrative support in reviewing data use agreements; developing, maintaining, and auditing research data management and security plans for both funded and unfunded research across NYU Washington Square and its Global Campuses; and offering outreach and training to enhance data security issues and awareness throughout the NYU research community.
