Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned
Cloud Architect with expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and JupyterHub administration
to design and deliver scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade platforms for interactive computing and machine learning workflows.
This is a hybrid role requiring both
architectural design and hands-on implementation
skills. You will work closely with DevOps, data science, security, and infrastructure teams to support multi-tenant environments for data exploration and ML workloads.
Key Responsibilities:
Open Shift / Kubernetes Administration
Design and manage Open Shift clusters (on-prem/cloud-managed)
Maintain Kubernetes manifests: Deployments, StatefulSets, PVCs, NetworkPolicies, etc.
Implement RBAC, service accounts, and admission policies
Monitor using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki
JupyterHub / Notebook Platform
Deploy and scale JupyterHub in Kubernetes/OpenShift
Integrate with enterprise auth (OAuth, SAML, LDAP)
Manage user environments and persistent storage (PVCs)
Support notebooks with libraries, runtimes, and kernel isolation
Cloud & Platform Architecture
Design hybrid/cloud-native architectures using OpenShift and Azure
Architect storage (CephFS, S3-compatible, NFS)
Build CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
Implement backup, DR, and compliance strategies
Security & Governance
Enforce OpenShift SCCs, secrets, encryption, and RBAC
Ensure secure multi-tenancy and user isolation
Integrate with enterprise SIEM/audit tools
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Architecture
5+ years with Open Shift/Kubernetes in production environments
Strong experience with JupyterHub or Kubeflow Notebooks
Proficient in YAML, Helm, Operator-based deployments
Hands-on with Azure and/or Red Hat Open Shift
Experience with storage (NFS, Ceph, S3), RBAC, TLS, networking
Familiarity with Data Science workflows and tools
Knowledge of Apache Airflow, Iceberg, Spark on Kubernetes
Experience with Open Data Hub, Kubeflow, or Red Hat AI tools
Certifications: CKA, Red Hat Open Shift Admin, or similar
Qualifications: Qualifications
