Cyber Systems Engineer, Senior Advisor Job Locations: US-MD-Jessup Requisition ID: 2025-155191 Position Category: Cyber Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI w/Poly Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a System Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of Next Generation SIGINT architecture. This position focuses on end-to-end engineering of interfaces, both internal and external, and architectural level system engineering activities. Work will include defining and managing system requirements, CONOPs, and verification and validation activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, with fifteen (15) years' experience as a System Engineer in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity. Four (4) additional years of SE experience may substitute for a degree. Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Expertise with Linux-based platforms (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Fedora) and command line utilities. Experience with shell scripting (bash, Perl, Ruby, Python) and working within a software development framework. Experience using configuration management and software build tools. Experience building SQL databases and developing queries. Understanding of standard data interchange formats like JSON, XML, SOAP. Hands-on lab experience with cabling, configuring switches, networking devices, fiber optics, traffic generators. Familiarity with test equipment including signal generators, optical switches, network analysis tools. Understanding of network communications (OSI model), protocols (Ethernet, TCP, UDP), network security infrastructure (IPsec, MACsec, TLS), and socket programming.
