Overview LMI is seeking a skilled Senior Network/Platform Engineer to support our Enterprise Technology Services Infrastructure Solutions group. This position is a subject matter expert capable of designing, engineering, testing, implementing, and managing IT networking systems and services. The ideal candidate must have strong container security knowledge and experience supporting application developers with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native deployment strategies. Additionally, the candidate should have real-world experience with wired and wireless networking solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Working knowledge of digital certificates administration is also required. Responsibilities Engineer and implement LMI's networking capabilities, serving as the engineering point-of-contact for resolving performance or delivery issues. Manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Produce network designs and engineering artifacts. Ensure all networking solutions comply with industry and government security protocols, controls, and best practices. Collaborate with the InfoSec team to document controls and provide metrics for audits and performance assessments. Complete project deliverables accurately and on time. Escalate issues, problems, risks, and constraints to appropriate levels for clarification and resolution. Stay updated on new and emerging technologies. Interact appropriately with internal and external clients as projects require. Maintain IT equipment supporting LMI's secure environment, including applying required STIGs on all network equipment. Maintain and support LMI's two data centers. Support remote office locations and technologies as needed. Maintain the containerized platform that hosts developer containers. Qualifications 4+ years of experience designing, supporting, and executing networking solutions. Knowledge of digital certificates and their administration, including Microsoft Certificate Authorities and public certificates. Advanced experience with Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls. Understanding routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, NAT, and ACLs. Experience with Cisco switches and routers, and knowledge of ISO-XE and NX-OS code. Understanding authentication protocols like RADIUS and TACACS, and experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine for MFA, wireless, and VPN authentication. Experience with Wireless LAN Infrastructure. Experience with F5 Load Balancer, including writing iRules, and understanding iApps, VIPs, nodes, pools, and health checks. Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems. Knowledge of directory services such as AD and LDAP. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and other tools for documentation and communication. Experience with container security scanning tools like Grype and Trivy. Proficiency with SonarQube for code quality and security analysis. Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, troubleshooting, and application support. Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and GitOps practices. Knowledge of cloud-native security principles. Ability to create and maintain developer onboarding and platform documentation. Effective communication skills and a positive attitude. Active Secret clearance required, with the ability to upgrade to Top Secret. Other Desired Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT. Experience with SAML, Kerberos, NTLM authentication. Certifications in Networking, AWS, Azure. Experience with Software Defined Networks in AWS, Infrastructure as Code, and automation in cloud environments. Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM.
