Network Engineer - Senior

In support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and the Regional Network Enterprise Center for the National Capital Region (RNEC-NCR), we are currently seeking a Junior Network Engineer with a minimum of 6-10 years of experience and a Secret Clearance. This role requires a CCNP Certification. Essential Functions Support the Government by performing a variety of broad network engineering tasks focused on the design, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of the RNEC-NCR network infrastructure, including the Installation Campus Area Network (ICAN). Respond to critical and VIP tickets within two hours of notification via AESMP ticket submissions, telephone, or email from appropriate Government authorities. Support network operations, including hardware/software installation, ensuring compliance with Information Assurance (IA) security requirements, maintaining the ICAN infrastructure, supporting network configurations, and supporting user authentication via DOD CAC and PKI. Complete equipment installations, movements, additions, and changes to maintain the ICAN infrastructure, supporting various network components and secure data transmission methods. Possess a SECRET security clearance; do not apply without it. Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. Have at least three years of relevant experience. Possess IAT-II certification (Networking Environments) per DoD 8570 requirements. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting with team members, government customers, and senior officials. Preferred candidates will have in-depth knowledge of the customer's communication networks and systems. Required certifications include: CompTIA Security+ and CCNP. Supervisory Responsibility Mentor junior and intermediate engineering team members. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Ability to climb ladders, pull cables, and maintain equipment in data center racks. Security Clearance Must possess a SECRET security clearance.
