Lead Azure Data Architect (Permanent, Banking)

Azure Data Platform Technical Lead We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Platform Technical Lead to lead on-premises system migration projects, develop migration methodologies, and ensure compliance. You will support the internal team in building Azure data warehouses, Databricks environments, data pipelines, and Power BI reports. Your responsibilities include: Assessing current practices to identify opportunities for leveraging Microsoft Azure Data and Analytics Services. Providing technical and thought leadership in data access, ingestion, processing, integration, modeling, database design, visualization, and advanced analytics. Collaborating with project managers to estimate technical tasks and develop best practices, reusable frameworks, and naming standards for cloud-based data warehousing and ETL processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Science, Banking and Finance, or equivalent. Minimum 10 years of experience in Data Warehousing, Analytics, Real-time Data Integration, or Business Intelligence, including at least 3 years as a Data Architect, Solution Architect, or Technical Lead, and at least 2 years leading Azure data platform projects. Proficiency in Databricks and knowledge of data architectures including SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and business analytics tools. Experience with Azure database platforms (Azure SQL, Data Lake Gen2), Azure data integration tools (Synapse, Data Factory, Event Hub), data visualization tools (QlikView, Power BI), and programming languages (R, Python). Strong architectural skills in integrating diverse data sources, visualization, and handling structured/unstructured data, with preference for candidates with ETL expertise.
