The Appstore Distribution team is dedicated to developing innovative products, services, SDKs, and tools to assist mobile app developers in managing their apps on Amazon Appstore. We also build the systems that curate a vast catalog of hundreds of thousands of mobile apps for Fire TV and Fire Tablet stores. Key Responsibilities: Innovatively tackle business challenges through advanced technology solutions. Work collaboratively in a team environment to develop efficient, scalable services. Play a key role in industry-defining projects that significantly impact customer experience. Utilize high-end technology to solve complex problems with immediate visibility into the impact of your work. As a Software Development Engineer II, you will be instrumental in defining and building engaging consumer product experiences with a direct influence on the design, architecture, and implementation of our flagship products that customers use daily. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional programming skills, extensive experience developing consumer applications across mobile platforms (particularly Android), and a comprehensive understanding of object-oriented development. A Day in the Life: Participate in daily stand-up calls, collaborating with peers for design and code reviews. Develop robust and highly scalable solutions using Agile practices. About the Team: In the Appstore team, we entertain and delight millions of customers with a wide selection of relevant apps and services while simplifying the process for developers to launch and manage their applications and in-app content on Amazon. Our mission is to enhance the customer and developer experience, enabling seamless engagement on devices like Fire TV, Fire Tablets, and mobile devices. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. 2+ years of design or architecture experience with an emphasis on reliability and scaling. Proficient in at least one programming language. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing.
