Join the innovative dbrown Team as a Software Development Engineer! This hands-on role is crucial in addressing complex and uncertain areas while spearheading pioneering software initiatives within the EC2 Trust Infrastructure of Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will leverage your extensive engineering skills and technical expertise in control plane software development, DevOps, infrastructure tools, and distributed systems. Working alongside seasoned Security Engineers, Senior Software Developers, and distinguished engineers, you will help shape the technical roadmap and ensure world-class execution in delivering our security and trust services. The EC2 Trust Infrastructure team is dedicated to providing top-notch trust services for the EC2 substrate network, focusing on: Ensuring supply chain security and secure boot operations. Providing authentication and authorization services for the substrate. Managing EC2 inventory attributes through highly available interfaces. Delivering analytical reports to optimize capacity utilization. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, operate, and own large-scale services with scalability in mind. Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers on the team. Write high-quality code and conduct thorough design and code reviews. Identify root causes of problems and implement long-lasting solutions. About the Team: The EC2 Fleet Infrastructure organization manages the entire fleet lifecycle, including initial ingestion, capacity build-out, and health monitoring. The EC2 Trust Infrastructure ensures secure identity management and trust services by: Issuing identity certificates for each host. Managing firewall rules for secure intra-substrate communication. Providing secure access to Nitro droplets and overseeing global secrets rotation. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years of professional software development experience. 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems. Proficiency in at least one programming language. Familiarity with software engineering best practices throughout the development life cycle. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
