In your role as a Senior Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for configuring, implementing, managing, and supporting the LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks for Ulta's corporate offices, distribution centers, and retail locations. You'll also assist with Core, Data Center, and Cloud network services while driving technology standards and collaborating on architectural strategies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Network Solutions Engineering:
Lead the design and configuration of comprehensive network solutions using various technologies such as routing, switching, firewalls, security measures, and load balancing. Systems Integration:
Guide network engineers in building integration components, ensuring solutions meet business objectives and performance criteria. Business Process Improvement:
Analyze business processes to identify innovative solutions and establish requirements for effective implementation. Capacity Planning:
Develop standards for service component capacity management and stay informed on market best practices. Project Management:
Document and manage projects with significant complexity or resource needs, collaborating effectively with stakeholders. Customer Service Support:
Act as the primary point of contact for support requests and contribute to the creation of technical documentation. ADDITIONAL TASKS: Create and maintain ULTA's enterprise network environment documentation, including Core, Campus, Cloud, and other operational platforms. Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and WLANs with appropriate hardware configurations. Work closely with business and IT departments to develop efficient, high-performing solutions. Maximize network performance while minimizing downtime across enterprise hardware. Collaborate with various teams to deliver services that support enterprise applications like SAP and HANA. Assist in implementing automation within the network environment and mentor junior team members. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience with routing, core switching, firewalls, VLANs, and related technologies. 5+ years of experience with F5 BigIP load balancing. CCNA certification; CCNP or CCDA preferred. Proficiency in protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc.) and network access methods (T1, Ethernet, WLAN). Experience with monitoring tools and performance analysis. Strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills. Ability to manage projects effectively and work under pressure.
