Job Overview:
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and expanding our Data & Analytics platforms. These platforms are vital for processing, storing, and organizing key data for the Medical Segment analytics team. You will be responsible for driving technical strategy and ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, and responsive data solutions while proactively engaging with business partners on platform health and problem resolution. Your expertise in data movement and database technologies will be essential in supporting analytics and reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the evolution of our technical platform strategy by adapting to tools, products, and business needs.
Establish and execute standards for database and data movement, conduct design reviews, and manage CI/CD pipeline processes.
Align data analytics and reporting capabilities with business objectives to create effective solutions.
Ensure technical specifications meet both business requirements and technical design standards.
Collaborate with external consultants, solution providers, and managed services organizations to meet development standards.
Communicate project progress, identify potential risks, and assess the impact on business operations with multiple stakeholders.
Propose innovative ideas for process and technical enhancements for supported platforms and processes.
Guarantee that platforms and tools comply with all data security standards and successfully manage internal and external audits.
Become a techno-functional expert in implemented solutions and articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Lead new initiatives while guiding less experienced team members towards effective project resolution.
Develop and promote best practices for solutions and tool frameworks while ensuring consistency in data solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of relevant experience with tools such as GCP/AWS, HANA, BigQuery, Redshift, and Oracle.
Strong experience with Data Warehouse methodologies.
Proficiency in database design and modeling.
Expertise in BI Reporting tools (Business Objects, Tableau, Looker) and Data Discovery tools (Alteryx).
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Understanding of the financial implications of projects.
Experience with large-scale implementation programs is preferred.
Proven experience working with SAP or integrating solutions with SAP.
Anticipated Salary Range:
