Data Science Lead Primary Skills Problem formulation (business problem to data science problem), OKR validation against statistical measures, data wrangling, storytelling & insight generation, problem solving, Excel VBA, data curiosity, technical decision making, communication & articulation, business acumen, design thinking, data literacy. Job requirements Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid with 2-3 days on-site per week. We are seeking an experienced Data Science Lead with expertise in machine learning, time series forecasting, causal ML, cloud data platforms, and AI technologies. The candidate will lead a team of data scientists, working closely with stakeholders to develop data-driven solutions impacting strategic outcomes. Key skillset Programming: Python and PySpark proficiency. ML Expertise: Experience in machine learning, especially time series forecasting (ARIMA, Prophet, LSTM, XGBoost) and causal ML (uplift modeling, propensity scoring, causal impact analysis). Deep Learning: Neural networks (CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs), transformers, embeddings. NLP: Language modeling, embeddings (Word2Vec, BERT, GPT), text classification, summarization. SQL: Skills in writing complex queries. Cloud Platforms: AWS (S3, SageMaker, Lambda, Glue). Databricks: Familiarity with Lakehouse architecture, notebooks, collaborative workflows.
