Are you ready to take your career to the next level as a Senior DevOps Lead? In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for our applications. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the reliability of our systems, collaborating closely with the Wolters Kluwer Product Teams for continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing, implementing, and automating Cloud Infrastructure in Azure & AWS using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
Providing leadership and mentoring on Infrastructure as Code automation across Service Operations, Delivery, and the broader organization.
Adopting and implementing container and serverless architectures with technologies such as AKS, EKS, Docker, and Azure Functions.
Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and orchestrations across multiple environments.
Implementing Cloud Native solutions tailored to our operational needs.
Enhancing observability of managed solutions and troubleshooting issues promptly.
Ensuring compatibility of infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and CI/CD solutions with organizational DevOps and Security processes.
Mentoring a team of DevOps engineers while promoting a collaborative and learning-focused culture.
Exploring new technologies and participating in pilots, POCs, and technology evaluations.
Conducting work using SRE principles, encompassing resilience, metrics, capacity planning, and incident management.
Contributing to architecture and engineering standards.
Deploying and maintaining critical applications.
Identifying and proposing engineering improvements and replacement strategies.
Resolving production incidents and engaging in root cause analysis.
Sharing knowledge on automation best practices across the organization.
Participating in on-call responsibilities within the Service Delivery and Operations team.
To qualify for this role, you should have:
A Bachelor's Engineering degree and a Master's in Computer Science or a related field.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant software experience, including Site Reliability, DevOps, or Release Engineering, along with Software Engineering experience in backend services or data systems.
A strong background in software development, particularly in languages such as Python, .NET, or Java.
Recent experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure and AWS).
Proficiency in Shell Scripting Languages (PowerShell & Bash).
A solid understanding of Azure/AWS core services (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS).
Experience with automation and configuration management tools like Git.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Travis CI.
Demonstrated leadership in managing a team of DevOps engineers.
A strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
A deep commitment to fostering a DevOps culture focused on continuous integration and automation.
Experience with Observability platforms and diagnostic tool automation for Windows and Linux.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience deploying highly available, fault-tolerant cloud-native systems at scale using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
