As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in transforming government operations through innovative cloud-based applications and infrastructure. Our client, a leading technology solutions provider, offers a dynamic environment focused on enhancing operational efficiency and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test scalable software solutions leveraging Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related technologies.
Migrate existing applications to the cloud and build AWS cloud-native solutions using ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, ELB, ALB, and Aurora RDS.
Create and maintain robust database and data storage solutions with MySQL, Aurora MySQL, and Aurora Postgres.
Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines integrating testing and security scans utilizing tools such as GitLab, SonarQube, Maven, and Nexus.
Automate infrastructure provisioning through Docker, Fargate, Terraform, and Ansible.
Monitor system health, conduct root cause analysis, and address incidents utilizing CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Splunk, and Qradar.
Implement effective authentication and authorization protocols with Kerberos and Okta.
Experience Requirements:
Over 15 years of experience in software development focusing on Java technologies.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the government sector with an understanding of its unique demands.
In-depth AWS Cloud Services experience along with expertise in cloud-native application development.
Proficiency in CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and containerization techniques.
Strong foundation in database technologies and data storage solutions.
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools and conducting root cause analysis.
Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols.
Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Rally.
Education and Certifications:
BA/BS in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Preferred: Relevant AWS and DevSecOps certifications.
Public Trust Clearance or equivalent is required.
