Your role as a backend engineer is crucial in creating these real-time, powerful experiences. Your work involves designing scalable systems, securing sensitive data, and solving distributed system challenges to support global operations. What You'll Do Build and Elevate Our Core Platform Develop backend services with Java (Java 11+), Spring Boot, Hibernate. Design RESTful APIs and microservices for dynamic experiences. Enhance database performance for large, multi-tenant data loads. Drive Quality, Security, and Scalability Make architectural decisions focusing on scalability and security. Implement secure coding practices, address vulnerabilities, optimize JVM performance. Improve deployment pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and automated testing. Collaborate and Lead Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis. Partner with frontend, mobile, and infrastructure teams. Take on additional responsibilities including infrastructure, troubleshooting, or mentoring. What We're Looking For Must-Have Qualifications 10+ years in backend Java development. Expertise in Java 11+, Spring Boot, Hibernate. Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, concurrency, memory management. Experience with REST APIs and microservices. Proficiency with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization. Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps. Ability to manage complexity and lead projects. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Willingness to problem-solve outside your specialty. Ability to leverage AI/LLMs for efficiency. Authorized to work in the U.S. Nice to Have Experience with AWS AuroraDB, multi-tenant SaaS architectures. Knowledge of dynamic query mechanisms. Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD, security practices.
