Overview:
GovCIO is actively seeking a talented Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in supporting various Authorization to Operate (ATO) efforts for ongoing and enhancement contracts. This position is fully remote and open to candidates across the Continental United States (CONUS). Please note that this role is contingent upon the award of the contract, which is yet to be finalized. Responsibilities: Provide customers with in-depth assessments and reports to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of current cyber threats. Develop cyber threat profiles based on geographic regions, countries, groups, or individual actors. Create cyber threat assessments through detailed entity threat analysis. Establish and maintain ATO status, including participation in ongoing ATO audits to ensure system integrity. Research and maintain proficiency in the latest tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in network vulnerabilities and security. Assist in updating documentation and conducting scans to maintain compliance. Collaborate with intrusion analysts to identify, report, and coordinate remediation of cyber threats. Provide timely and actionable intelligence to cyber incident response teams. Leverage technical knowledge of computer systems and networks to assess the client's security posture. Conduct intelligence analysis to evaluate intrusion signatures, tactics, techniques, and procedures related to cyber attacks. Research hackers, their techniques, and vulnerabilities; provide detailed briefings and reports to leadership. Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience. Experience working in eMASS and understanding ATO requirements and documentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and competence in Microsoft Suite. Strong verbal and written communication skills. A positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed. Preferred Skills: Experience in an IT environment. Familiarity with Jira and Confluence. Knowledge of ATO Audits. Clearance Requirement:
