Solar Technician Array WireHarness Replacement (EntryLevel)

IMPORTANTTHIS IS AN OUTDOOR FIELD ROLE Our solar projects are spread across the UnitedStates and may require travel between sites.

Position Overview

Under direct supervision, the Solar Technician performs entrylevel repair and replacement of damaged wire harnesses beneath groundmounted solar arrays. The role is handson, physically demanding, and primarily outdoors. Typical schedules are 1012hour days; nightshift work may be assigned when site conditions or production schedules require it. Perdiem is available to eligible employees when traveling.

Core Responsibilities

Safety First Rigorously follow company and sitespecific safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, energizedwork protocols). Immediately stop work and escalate any unsafe condition.

Wire Harness Replacement Locate, remove, and install DC string harnesses and connectors under solar modules using basic hand and power tools.

Inspection & Documentation Visually inspect array wiring for heat damage, abrasion, or failed terminations; record findings and completed work in digital forms or paper checklists.

Tool & Material Care Maintain hand tools, test equipment, and consumables; keep work areas clean and free of trip hazards.

Team Collaboration Work closely with fellow technicians and site supervisors to meet daily production targets and quality metrics.

Continuous Improvement Suggest procedural or tooling improvements that increase safety, quality, or efficiency.

Perform other tasks as assigned to support project objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirement Details

EducationHighschool diploma or GED.ExperienceAt least 6months of handson work using basic hand tools OR completion of a solar/ construction training program. Construction, laborer, or solarfarm experience is but not required.Drivers LicenseValid U.S. drivers license; ability to pass MVR check.Tool ProficiencyFamiliar with wrenches, ratchets, crimpers, torque tools, and multimeters.Work HoursWillingness to work 1012hour shifts, weekends, and rotating night shifts as scheduled.Personal Protective EquipmentMust provide your own

compositetoe

(or steeltoe) work boots. All other PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hivis vest, etc.) provided by Sentry Electrical Group,Inc.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Walk 215miles per day on uneven, sometimes muddy or rocky terrain.

Lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs repeatedly.

Bend, kneel, crawl, and work in a squatting position beneath lowclearance module tables.

Tolerate exposure to sun, wind, rain, dust, and temperatures ranging from below freezing to 110F.

Use hearing protection and communicate over twoway radios in a noisy environment.
